Hope you’re all well on this rather dull Tuesday afternoon. My week is set to be a busy one so I said I’d squeeze in a quick post while I have a spare hour. Today’s post is a style post on what I wore to a Damien Rice gig last week. I got so many compliments on my Instagram so I said I’d do a full outfit post. The gig was incredible, I’m a huge fan of Damien and have been since I was very young. Not only is he an outstanding singer and musician, but a one of a kind performer, the atmosphere was electric in The Marquee! At the end of the gig, Damien performed a couple of songs with no mic or equipment and it was absolutely flawless. It’s so great to see that proper performers still exist. I hope you all enjoy this post, feel free to comment below with any questions on the items featured.
I kept my outfit classy, comfortable and not too OTT as it was a standing concert and the weather wasn’t the hottest. My jumpsuit is from River Island, I bought it a few months back for €50 and it’s definitely one of my favourite buys. It’s so comfy to wear, the fitted waistband gives it a flattering fit and the detail on the back is just gorgeous! Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the chain detail on the back (oops), but it’s a low cut back, making it perfect for a night out as well as casual wear.
The shoes I wore were a pair of red suede platform wedges from Koi Couture. I got them for around €55 last year and I have worn them to lots of different events since. They’re about as comfortable as 6″ heels get and they still look perfect despite how much I’ve worn them. The gold buckle detail on the ankle strap matched the gold chain detail on my jumpsuit and the colour gave a vibrant pop to the outfit.
By way of accesories, I kept the look pretty simple. I’m not one for flashy jewellery so I just wore a few Alex and Ani inspired bangles that I picked up from Penneys for €3, along with this black leather shoulder bag, also from Penneys, priced at €13. I love this bag as it’s not too bulky but it still has space for everything a girl needs to carry around! I picked it up in a nude colour too and they also have it in coral which is really eye catching.
Aside from the outfit, I did my makeup as I normally do, a mixture of cheaper brands like Rimmel and Sleek along with some Urban Decay and YSL. I used my UD Naked 2 palette to create a gold smokey eye, contouring and highlighting using my Sleek contour kit and I finished off the look with a Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick in a light brown shade. I literally just left my hair to dry naturally and pinned it up on top, finishing with some hairspray. Finally, my golden glow is courtesy of my old reliable Cocoa Brown, a must have for every night out!
I hope you enjoyed this post and I look forward to sharing my next one with you very soon.
Love and hugs,
